When Usher and Chris Brown launched The R&B Tour on June 26, 2026 with a sold-out opening night at Empower Field at Mile High in Denver, it was billed as a meeting of two generations of R&B. Four months later, it has become something bigger: a rolling reunion of hip-hop and R&B royalty, with surprise guests turning nearly every stadium stop into an event.

The co-headlining run — produced by Live Nation — expanded to 59 stadium dates after overwhelming demand. The nearly three-hour production is built around nine cinematic acts that have the two superstars trading the spotlight rather than playing back-to-back sets, weaving both catalogs together — from Usher's "U Remind Me" to Brown's "With You" — closing with their duet "New Flame," and folding in tributes to Prince, Michael Jackson, and Marvin Gaye.

The guest list is where the tour keeps making headlines. On October 15, the tour returned to MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey for a third show — after two sold-out August dates — with Shyne, Fabolous, Eric Bellinger, Mario, Tank, and Meek Mill all hitting the stage. At SoFi Stadium in Inglewood on September 26, the surprises included Snoop Dogg, Robin Thicke, and Brandy; the night before, Ye made an unannounced appearance, performing a four-song medley including "All of the Lights" and "Can't Tell Me Nothing."

Across the run, the rotating cast of surprise guests has included 50 Cent, Mary J. Blige, Fat Joe, Jadakiss, Ashanti, Method Man, Future, Nelly, and Lil Baby, while Mario, Eric Bellinger, and Tank have served as the tour's regular special guests, performing their own hits and backing Brown throughout the night.

Usher — whose career now spans more than three decades since his 1994 debut — has anchored the shows with classics like "Yeah!," "U Got It Bad," "Burn," and "Confessions Part II," while Brown has shut down segments with "Run It!," "With You," "No Guidance," and "Under the Influence."

The tour rolls on through December, wrapping with two shows at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa on December 11 and 12 — with more surprise guests all but guaranteed.
