NAS ON WORKING WITH KANYE ON THE DISSAPOINTING JOINT ALBUM 'NASIR' IN 2018: (ARTICLE FROM THE SOURCE MAGAZINE):

Nas is reflecting on his 2018 collaboration with Kanye West, admitting NASIR left him disappointed because the project came together too quickly.

Created during Kanye’s Wyoming recording sessions, NASIR was part of a run of seven-track albums produced by Ye. While Nas appreciated the experience and exposure to a new creative environment, he says the album was ultimately rushed.

“I never been to Wyoming,” Nas said, thanking Kanye for the opportunity while explaining that the real work didn’t fully come together until the final stretch.

According to the Queensbridge legend, the album was largely completed during its last week as Kanye balanced multiple projects involving artists like Kid Cudi and Teyana Taylor.

“We really did that album the week it was supposed to come out,” Nas admitted.

Despite feeling NASIR never reached its full potential, Nas says he still wants to work with Kanye again and believes the two could create something special with more time and focus.
